1. DNA

DNA is the thread of life
Some from the husband
Some from the wife
Or from partners otherwise defined
See it twist!
Watch it wind!

ACAGTACAGT
TGTCATGTCA

DNA is in ev’ry living thing
From the slime that lines your tub
To the bugs and birds that sing
You had better not commit a crime
DNA will identify you ev’ry time

ACAGTACAGT

It tells a cell what to be (or not to be)
It’s the boss of you and the boss of me
DNA

So if you’re small
Or if you’re large
It’s the double helix that’s in charge

DNA is the thread of life
Some from the husband
Some from the wife

DNA!

2. Population

People. People. People. Etc.

3. Pheromones

Ah, pheromone, pheromone, pheromone

It’s all about attraction
And getting a reaction
They drive males and females to distraction
Pheromones

And the molecule in the cell
That’s in charge of it all is:

DNA
It’s the thread of life
Some from the husband
Some from the wife

Ah, pheromone, pheromone, pheromone
It’s all about attraction
And getting a reaction
It’s all about the pheromones

Pheromones!
